Rachel (she/her) took an unconventional route to medicine, first getting a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from UBC and working in the television industry for a number of years. Once she decided medicine was the path for her, she returned to UBC for both medical school and her family medicine residency. She has worked with Group 2 throughout her training and early career and now as an attending member.
Rachel has an international certificate in addiction medicine from ISAM, incorporating both inpatient and outpatient addictions care into her practice. She is also a clinical instructor at UBC, teaching medical students and residents. Her goal is to provide supportive and engaging pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care to her patients and their families.
When she is not working, Rachel loves to spend time with her young family, eat delicious food, and watch film and TV.
