Moira (she/her) grew up and completed medical school in Toronto (Tkaronto), in the traditional homelands of the Anishnabeg, Haudenosaunee, Wendat, Mississauga, and Chippewa nations. She moved to British Columbia to pursue residency training in Family Medicine at St. Paul’s Hospital and is now grateful to call Vancouver home. Her ancestry is Scottish and French. She practices medicine in English.
She has worked in Vancouver and the Northwest Territories in full scope family medicine, low-risk obstetrics, and addictions medicine since 2017. Throughout residency, she was mentored by many FPMS-2 physicians, who inspired her in this work. Moira now practices at 8th Avenue Family and Maternity Care, and at Sheway Maternity Clinic, which provides wraparound social and medical support for people using substances during pregnancy and their families.
Moira continues to be amazed by the many transitions (big and small!), the moments of humor, and the depth of love that come with welcoming a child into the world. She is honoured to walk with you as you go down this path.
Outside of clinic, you can find Moira biking or trail running in any sort of weather, enjoying a good book with a cup of tea, or spending time with family and friends.
