Kate is from London, Ontario but fell in love with the mountains after a summer spent working at an Easter Seal’s camp in the Rockies. She trained in the St Paul’s Hospital residency program and was lucky enough to be taught and mentored by many of her now colleagues in the Family Practice Maternity Service.
Since graduating, she has worked in Vancouver and up in the most northern hospital in Canada in Inuvik, NWT. She now has a full spectrum family practice with a focus on obstetrical care and addictions and works on the perinatal addiction ward at BC Women’s Hospital. The incredible strength and resilience of women, particularly in the perinatal period, is what motivates her every day in her work.
In her free time, she spends as much time outside as possible- canoeing, snowboarding, hiking with her dog and backcountry camping.
