Kate is from London, Ontario but fell in love with the mountains after a summer spent working at an Easter Seals camp in the Rockies. She trained in the St Paul’s Hospital residency program and was lucky enough to be taught and mentored by many of her now colleagues in the Family Practice Maternity Service.
Since graduating, she has worked in Vancouver and up in the most northern hospital in Canada in Inuvik, NWT. She now has a full spectrum family practice with a focus on obstetrical care and addictions and works on the perinatal addiction ward at BC Women’s Hospital. The incredible strength and resilience of her patients, particularly in the perinatal period, is what motivates her every day in her work. She strives to create an LGBTQ+ positive space and welcomes all definitions of family in her office.
In her free time, she spends as much time outside with her family as possible- canoeing, snowboarding, hiking and backcountry camping.
