Cathy graduated from UBC Medical School in 1999. She completed her Family medicine residency at the University of Calgary in 2001. After graduation, she did a low-risk obstetric fellowship at the University of Toronto. She has worked in Toronto and Yellowknife before setting into a full service family practice in Vancouver in 2003.
